Buhari's son-in-law under EFCC investigation
Malam Gimba Yau Kumo, a former managing director of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria
and newly minted husband of President Muhammadu Buhari’s daughter Hajiya Fatimah, is
reportedly under EFCC investigation.
Sahara Reporteres allege that the 57-year-old is currently investigated by the anti-graft agency
due to his involvement in fraud scheme during his rule as MD of FMBN.
According to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission operatives,
Mr Kumo allegedly diverted loans and funds from the bank to fund the construction of a
luxury hotel in Gombe and the purchase of property in Abuja.
